The Furnace Proves You’re Fire Proof

No weapon formed against you will prosper…

Somebody knows what I’m talking about…You’ve been through life’s furnace — and if you’re like most of us, you’ve been through more than one.

A furnace situation doesn’t come to you because of what you did wrong…that furnace situation comes when God is getting ready to take your faith to another level. He’s getting ready to show Himself to you on another level.

He’s getting ready to show you that it takes a furnace situation to have a God encounter. You have to see no way out for a God encounter. You have to have no options for a God encounter. It has to be bigger than you, above you, for a God encounter. It has to be a mess before a God miracle. You have to be afraid, you have to get to the edge of your comfort zone, you have to run out of your strength to have a God encounter.

The bible declares, “…God’s power is made perfect in our weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego didn’t get thrown into the furnace because of what they did wrong, they got thrown into the furnace for trusting in God, for being obedient to their faith.

When the King threatened them with the furnace listen to what they said: “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up” (Daniel 3:16-18).

Did you hear it…Did you feel it! In other words, they said to the King, “No matter what, we win! No matter what they try to do, God is able to step in. If they leave you, God will step in. If you lose it all, God will step in. If you have to start over again, God will step in. If you have to walk away to protect your sanity, God will step in. If you have to go into the fire to deny the devil control over your mind, your emotions, your heart…God will step in! 

The bible declares, “…I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:10)

A furnace season, like a lion’s den, is a setup for a God encounter. A move of God that will prove that, “No weapon formed against you will prosper!”

When your furnace has been prepared, when life throws a furnace situation at you, trust that God is getting ready to show up and show out. It’s not over, it’s not the end, it’s the beginning of a God encounter!
